With the drainage pipe ready the floor flange must be installed.
How to install a toilet flange on cement floor.
Rest the toilet bowl on its side place it on a towel or cloth to protect the floor and attach the replacement wax ring to the bottom of the bowl this technique helps ensure the ring is in the proper position when placing the toilet over the flange.
Next install a new wax ring.
Use tapcon anchors or a similar type of masonry concrete screws to fasten the toilet flange to the concrete slab.
Screw the toilet flange onto the concrete.
Fit the flange over the pipe to place it flat against the concrete floor.
If using a plastic flange ring be careful not to crack the ring by screwing the anchors in too far.
The floor flange is a durable ring that fits over the drainage pipe creating a solid foundation for the toilet.
Line the bolts up on the sides of the bowl and gently place the toilet on the repaired flange and press to the floor.
Pick up the toilet again bending at the knees and not the back.
Screw down the flange with a masonry drill and then fit the heads of locking bolts into the grooves on the flange.
The flange should be placed over the pipe so it lays flat against the concrete floor.
There are two options this step.
Clean up around the bottom of the toilet and place the new wax ring on the repaired flange.
