Whether you select bamboo hardwood or engineered bamboo planks the flooring comes with tongue and groove fasteners that make it simple for do it yourselfers to install a floating floor.
A common complaint with bamboo hardwood floors is that while they re really resilient to dings and scratches once they re installed the tongues on them can be really brittle so installing them typically requires gluing them down rather than nailing them down which can be a little messy and challenging.
Check with adhesive manufacture for recommendations on sealer removal.

Cheaper brands of bamboo flooring may contain glues the emit harmful vocs look for products that are guaranteed to emit no or very low amounts of vocs and that have been certified as sustainably harvested by the forest stewardship council fsc.

Quality bamboo flooring costs 5 to 8 per square foot which is about the same as common hardwood flooring like oak and maple.

If the flooring abuts a different kind of wooden or tile flooring leave a one inch gap between the bamboo flooring and the other flooring.
We recommend using bostik mapei or morning star adhesives that are designed for use with solid bamboo floors.
